High School Reading Curriculum
Student progress and achievement beyond the fourth grade are direct results of learning acquired. He never abandons the sounds, vowel patterns, and rules absorbed during his earlier training. These valuable tools are forever his. The child's alert and disciplined mind never reaches the saturation point. With the advanced reading material of upper grades he finds himself reading with the ease and confidence as he faces new academic problems and challenges. Study habits acquired in preceding grades are applied carefully and enhanced. The child equipped with Carden techniques of reading has received elementary schooling that contributes to a fine foundation for education of the whole person. He can enjoy and master the treasured literature and academic subjects of succeeding grades.
